Beldon Vermont Grady, 77, of Leon, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington. He was born August 5, 1939, in Leon, a son of the late Londis Owens Grady and Olive Irene (Higginbotham) Grady. Beldon retired from Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railways with 33 years service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Argentina Grady and Joyce Ann Grady; and a grandson, Owen Michael Grady. Beldon is survived by his wife, Cecelia Ann (Rohr) Grady of Leon; children, Jack Lee (Amy) Grady of Leon, Michael Wayne (Deanna) Grady of Leon, Kenny Ray (Charlie Crabtree) Grady of Oak Hill, OH, Teresa L. (Jeff) Withrow of Winfield, Richard Owens (Mary) Grady of Leon, Deanna Alice Smith of Point Pleasant and Christina Renae (Barry) Sharp of Leon. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Benjamin Joseph "B.J." (Christa) Grady, Chelsea (Adam) Knight, Tanner Withrow, Allison Smith, Noah Smith, Rhett Grady, Kallie Sharp, Klaire Sharp, Eastyn Grady, Chesney Grady, Conner Grady, Hannah Grady and Michael Grady II; three great-grandchildren, Patrick Vermont Grady, Savannah Grady and Keegan Knight; one brother, Albert Lee (Emogene) Grady of Leon; three sisters, Corrine Bailes of Arbuckle, Melvina (Wilk) Tucker of Arbuckle and Karen (Gene) Martin of Buffalo. A funeral service will be noon Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Randy Parsons and Rev. Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial will follow at the Grady Family Cemetery in Leon. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
