Barbara Long

Barbara Jean (Stanley) Long, 55, of Fraziers Bottom, WV, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was a member of the Graham United Methodist Church in New Haven, WV, and retired purchasing agent from Lakin Hospital with 36 years service. Barbara was born June 8, 1953 in Point Pleasant to the late Kenneth Leroy Stanley and Mary Jane (Jackson) Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chelsea Marie Long. Surviving are her husband, James Robert "Butch" Long of Fraziers Bottom; her children, Michael Shane (Amy) Bumgarner of Letart, WV, Joshua (Krystal) Long of Fraziers Bottom, and Ashley Long of Mason, WV; four grandchildren, Makinley Bumgarner, Rogan Bumgarner, Lane Stewart, and Gracie Long; three sisters, Marilyn (Jesse) Clarke of Letart, Carol (Mike) Newberry of Letart, and Rebecca (Mike) Egnor of Point Pleasant; a special niece, Carrie Musser; mother-in-law, Emma S. Long of Apple Grove; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31 in the Barton Chapel Church at Apple Grove with Rev. Ronnie Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Barton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
