Barbara Jean Bolton

Barbara Jean (Bennett) Swanson Bolton, 62, of Fraziers Bottom, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at home. She was born November 3, 1949 in Point Pleasant, WV, a daughter of the late Rev. Frank Richard "Keno" Bennett Jr. and Myrtle Latisha (Simpkins) Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Latisha Renee Jones; and two brothers, Paul Ray Bennett and James Franklin Bennett. Barbara Jean worked as an artist of painting, pottery, poetry and furniture restoration. She is survived by her husband, John Henry Bolton of Fraziers Bottom; one daughter, Bobbi Ann Gaul of Point Pleasant; one son, John Richard (Rosie) Swanson of Daegu, Korea; eight grandchildren, Samuel Gaul, Kevin Gaul, Jason Gaul all of Point Pleasant, Julia Swanson of Texas, Janelle Swanson, Haylee Swanson, Aubrey Swanson, Emma Swanson all of Daegu, Korea; one sister, Lois Shinn of Leon; and one brother, John (Jane) Bennett of Point Pleasant. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Carl "Boxer" Swisher officiating.
