Ayden Lee Henry

Ayden Lee Henry, son of Annlee Staats and Robert Henry passed tragically on his way to Cabell Huntington Hospital, at 16 years of age after an accidental gunshot wound to his pelvic area. He was born May 12, 2006, in Gallipolis, OH, to Robert Wesley Henry of Gallipolis Ferry and Annlee Marie (Staats) of Glenwood. Ayden was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ima Jean Henry. Ayden loved hunting, fishing and riding the four -wheeler.He was the sweetest kindest soul.He was a friend to anyone he met.He took pride in standing up for those who couldn't stand for themselves.He was always a protector.He loved to be outdoors getting his hands dirty with his pals.He wasn't afraid of anything.He is watching over us all. In addition to his parents, he leaves behind six siblings, Tiffany Shae Porter and (Jeremy McMillan) of Point Pleasant, Robbie (Sierra) Henry of North Carolina, Ryan Henry of Point Pleasant, Sierra Henry of Ashton, Kierra Henry of Point Pleasant and Ava Henry of Gallipolis Ferry; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Brenda Staats of Point Pleasant; paternal grandfather, Gilbert Henry Sr. of Gallipolis, OH; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his girlfriend, Sophia White of Southside. Ayden will be missed by everyone.We are heart shattered. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Josh Searls officiating.Burial will follow at the Pine Street Cemetery in Gallipolis, OH.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
