Ashley Nicole (Baird) Crawford, 26, of Southside, WV died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Southside, WV. She was born May 29, 1985 in Point Pleasant, a daughter of Gary Lee Baird and Ruth Ellen (Birchfield) Baird of Southside. Ashley was a member of Pleasant View Church and attended Hambrick Church. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 2003 and was a nursing assistant with West Virginia Aging. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harold Birchfield; and paternal grandmother, Patricia L. Baird. Ashley will be sadly missed and loved by her parents, Gary and Ruth; her husband, William Jeffrey Crawford; two brothers, Joshua Lee (Samantha) Baird and Travis Garan Baird, all of Southside; maternal grandmother, Nancy E. Birchfield of Point Pleasant; paternal grandfather, Charles Lee Baird of Southside; niece and nephew, Elisabeth Faith Baird and Elijah Lee Baird; special uncle, Ronnie Birchfield; special aunts, Bettie Sergent and Sandra Birchfield; and many cousins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Hambrick Church with Minister Cathy Searls officiating. Burial will follow in the Hambrick Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
