Anthony "Tony" Williamson

July 11, 1951 — June 29, 2024

Anthony "Tony" Wayne Williamson, of Gallipolis, OH, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024.  He was a devoted Christian who dedicated his life to hard work and craftsmanship as a talented carpenter and home builder.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Susie Williamson, with whom he shared almost 54 years of marriage.  His legacy lives on through his three children; Tonya (Craig) Rankin of Crown City, OH, Mark Williamson of Columbus, OH and Matthew (Carrie) Williamson of Gallipolis.  He was also a cherished grandfather to Lukas (Lora) Wells of Gallipolis, Dylan Williamson of Cincinnati, OH, Madalyn Williamson of Strasburg, OH, Kalyn Williamson of Gallipolis, Will (Hannah) Rankin of Boise, ID, Abby (Jacob) Williamson of Chugiak, AK, Jacob Rankin of Crown City, OH, Maggie Rankin of Crown City, Hunter Martin of Oak Hill, OH and Samantha Martin of Gallipolis.  His great-granddaughter, Molly Wells, held a special place in his heart.

Tony's memory is carried on by his five brothers and one sister; Lewis (Sherry) Williamson of Henderson, Sandy Mitchell of Henderson, Rusty (Kay) Williamson of Point Pleasant, Roy Williamson of Point Pleasant, Ronnie (Debbie) Williamson of Southside, David (Donna Cobb) Williamson of Point Pleasant; and a sister-in-law, B.J. Williamson of Leon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville "Russell" and Gladys Williamson; brother, Steve Williamson; and a brother-in-law, Pete Mitchell.

A private family gathering will be held to lay Tony to rest at Beech Hill Cemetery in Southside, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, with Teddy Flora officiating.

Our hearts mourn the loss of Tony, but we celebrate the impact he had on our lives and the love he shared with us all.  May his memory be a blessing.
