Alpha Louise Wedge

Alpha Louise Wedge, 91, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. She was born January 4, 1930, in Leon, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Clyde Keefer and Sylvia (Thornton) Keefer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Everett Wedge; a son, Randall "Randy" Lewis Wedge; brothers, Lionel L. Keefer, Wilmer "Ray" Keefer and Charles "Alvin" Keefer;brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arlie Byron Martin, John and Wanda Wedge and Elvin "Pete" and Francis Wedge; and a niece, Brenda Keefer Filkins. Alpha was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1947 and a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Connie S. and James "Buck" Loomis of Point Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Vickie L. Wedge of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Jaden Paige Rhea (Zachery Szkolnik) of South Charleston, WV and Jonathon Dean Rhea of Point Pleasant; and a great-granddaughter, Adaline Grace Rhea of Point Pleasant. She is also survived by a sister, Veva Mae Martin of West Jefferson, OH; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Keefer and Patricia Keefer both of Leon; nephew, Dana Keefer of Leon; nieces, Leisa Wedge of Point Pleasant, Krista (Wade Ray) Rollins of Leon and Greta (Charles) Boggess of Leon; and family friend, Lois Scherer. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the Creston Cemetery in Leon, with Rev.
