Amanda Lee Bugg, 90, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her home on Redmond Ridge. She was a homemaker and attended Wyoma Pentecostal Church at Gallipolis Ferry. Amanda was born June 11, 1918 in Gallipolis Ferry to the late Earnest H. Messick and Lula Canterberry Messick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Bugg; sons, Ricky, Junior, Carl, and Douglas Bugg; one sister, Ruth; brothers, Victor, Lloyd, and Gilbert; and a step granddaughter, Carmon Burns. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Louetta and David Oliver of Gallipolis Ferry; a son and two daughters-in-law, Larry and Marilyn Bugg and Mary Gail Bugg of Gallipolis Ferry; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Jennifer) Bugg, Ellen Bugg, Janice (Orion) Briel, Kimberly (Toby) Lewis, Stacey Patterson, and Mandy Bugg. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29 at the Wyoma Pentecostal Church with Rev. Dorsel Messick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
